The University of North Texas College of Business, Department of Marketing and Logistics has two faculty positions open that we would like posted in LogProf. They are:
Position
Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Operations and Chain Supply Management
The Department of Marketing and Logistics at the University of North Texas in Denton invites qualified applicants for a tenure track, full-time faculty position in Operations Management starting September 1, 2016. An earned doctoral degree or successfully defended dissertation in Operations Management or a very closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution is required by time of appointment (September 1, 2016). Primary responsibilities include both research and teaching in operations management at the undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. levels. We are looking for candidates with rigorous training in quantitative empirical methods (including survey research, secondary/archival data analysis, event study, experimental design etc.) and who are open to multidisciplinary and multi-method research. Publication/potential to publish in top operations management journals will be looked at very favorably. The applicant should have the ability to teach courses such as operations management, project management, materials management, and quality management. The teaching load is 2 classes per regular semester. The salary is market competitive.
University of North Texas is located in Denton TX about 30 miles from Dallas. Denton is a part of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area which has seen tremendous growth recently. The region provides ample opportunities to work with manufacturing and service industries.

Position
Lecturer (multiple-year) in Operations and Chain Supply Management
The University of North Texas College of Business is seeking a full-time Lecturer position for the Operations and Supply Chain Management degree program to start in Fall 2016. The degree program in Operations and Supply Chain Management supports undergraduate majors and complements the Logistics and Supply Chain Program within the Department of Marketing and Logistics.
The Lecturer will teach two sections of the required undergraduate MGMT 3830, Supply Chain Management, and one required majors course per semester. In some cases the Lecturer will teach two required majors courses. The Lecturer will also advise and counsel all undergraduate majors and provide to interested students and parents information regarding the degree program and its long-range potential. The Lecturer will work with NT Preview, majors fairs, transfer student fairs, and participate in new student orientation.
Review of candidates will start immediately and the position will remain open until a qualified candidate is selected.

An earned Master's degree in operations management, supply chain, logistics, or a related field at the time of application and a demonstrated record of prior teaching.
