Call for Session Proposals
Track Title
Working Together: Industry/Academic Research in Action

Track Description
Supply chain researchers are widely engaged in applied research that is both relevant and responsive to the needs of the private and public sectors. This track will focus on the results of collaborative research initiatives that bring universities, corporations, and government agencies together to improve supply chain strategy, processes, and tools. Leading researchers and their external partners will discuss key findings and managerial implications of their current work, as well as the opportunity for further study and supply chain improvement.

Key Objectives
The purpose of the track is to:
*       Showcase collaborative SCM research involving academic and industry or government partners,
*       Highlight the relevance and value of applied research that benefits all members of CSCMP,
*       Foster stronger working relationships between key CSCMP constituencies, and
*       Promote academia's capabilities to study and solve business problems.

Submission Process
Send your proposal electronically to anarayanan at bauer.uh.edu<mailto:anarayanan at bauer.uh.edu> no later than March 1, 2014.  Use the form on the following page including the following information:

*         Description of the research

o   Focus on industry/academic engagement, research outcomes, industry implications, and impact

*         Identification of session presenters

o   Priority will be given to proposals that include non-academic panelists

*         Information for the CSCMP Conference program

o   50-word session description and two session learner objectives

Words of Advice
Please keep in mind that this track is being presented during the Annual Global Conference with the goal of bringing the academic and practitioner communities together for a robust discussion of APPLIED, COLLABORATIVE research.  Sessions will be chosen based on the completeness of information and potential to impact industry and public sector supply chain practices.
