You should be a researcher who is at the beginning of an academic career in Management Science as this is an opportunity which will allow you to develop and extend your research from a PhD plus allow you to work under the guidance of senior colleagues on new projects. There will also be the opportunity to undertake training and develop skills in teaching through assisting in tutorials, workshops and assessment before lecturing and developing your own teaching.

You should have a background and interest in the application of operations research in logistics and transportation systems. Application areas related to air transport, environmental considerations in transportation, freight transportation, reverse and green logistics, hazardous materials transportation, emergency response logistics  and  incident management, optimization of car sharing systems,  inter-modal  transport systems, and  itinerary planning are particularly encouraged.

You will have a PhD (or be close to completing one) and want to develop an academic career. You will be encouraged to engage with external organisations as well as conducting academic research.
