MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY, Eli Broad College of Business has two tenure track positions starting academic year 2013-2014. The first is a senior position in procurement/supply management with possible appointment as the Hoagland/Metzler Chair in Supply Management. The second is as an assistant or associate professor in any of the supply chain management disciplines (procurement, operations management, or logistics). The preference for this second position is that the candidate has a strong inter-disciplinary interest (capability) in finance, accounting, information technology, or engineering. Both positions require a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited university, as well as scholarly/professional accomplishments and reputation commensurate with the position. Salary and terms are negotiable.

Candidates must have a demonstrated record of research excellence in purchasing/supply chain management publications. Appointment as the Hoagland/Metzler chair in Supply Management assumes that the candidate has demonstrated credibility in both the academic and practitioner fields of supply management and a demonstrated record of successfully recruiting, mentoring, and developing doctoral students and/or junior faculty members. The Hoagland/Metzler Chair should also have demonstrated capabilities in teaching graduate students. A demonstrated ability to complete inter-disciplinary research is preferred for the supply chain management position.

Submit applications online by November 15, 2012: https://jobs.msu.edu. For additional information, please contact Dr. David Closs, Department Chair (closs at msu.edu).
