Please consider submitting to an upcoming special issue of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management that focuses on the impacts of sustainability and resource scarcity to supply chain managers.  This special issue has been driven by the fact that firms are under increasing pressure to incorporate sustainability considerations in their logistics and supply chain approaches as well as to address issues surrounding more costly and/or scarce resources (e.g. rising fuel and other commodity prices, increases in global demand creating resource scarcity, etc. . .).
