Assistant / Associate Professor
Supply Chain Management


Position:The College of Business, Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama
has an opening for a qualified, tenure track Assistant or Associate
Professor in Supply Chain Management for Fall Semester, 2012.  This
position is affiliated with our SCM program which is an undergraduate
major that generates more than 100 graduates annually. A three-course
SCM concentration is also offered in the MBA program. The SCM faculty
consists of ten tenured, tenure-track, or professionally qualified
faculty members.

Qualifications:Applicants must have an earned doctorate in business
administration or management with a concentration in supply chain
management, operations, logistics, transportation, or procurement.
Additional qualifications include:

- Strong supply chain oriented research record appropriate to
applicants career stage, evidenced by publications in leading academic
journals. 
-  Sustained record of excellence in teaching and the ability to teach
a variety of SCM courses.
-  Industry/professional experience in supply chain management is
highly desired.
-  The selected candidate will be required to meet eligibility
requirements to work in the U.S. on the date the appointment is
scheduled to begin.
-  Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English.
-  Given these qualifications, our goal is to hire a senior assistant
or associate professor.

Responsibilities:Successful applicants will be expected to maintain a
productive research program, advise and mentor students, and support a
growing program. Teaching responsibilities will focus on undergraduate
courses with future opportunities at the MBA level. Successful
applicants will be required to contribute to the service and outreach
needs of this program, including interaction with professional
organizations and developing relationships within supply chain
communities.
