SOLE - The International Society of Logistics and the Logistics Education Foundation
Announces the 2011 Doctoral Dissertation Award Competition for Promising Research in
System Design for Reliability, Maintainability, and Supportability;
Logistics Systems and Maintenance; Business Logistics; and Supply Chain Management

The 2011 SOLE Dissertation Award provides a $3,000 grant to a Ph.D. candidate and recognition by the Society through publication of an article in the SOLE Logistics Spectrum based on the completed dissertation.
 We ask that you encourage qualified Ph.D. candidates in your program (or related programs) to apply.  The student provides a one-page application plus a five-page response to two questions.  Statements of support from two faculty members are required.  These materials can be obtained from Dr. Griffis using the email address below, or are attached to this announcement
 To be eligible, the individual must be admitted to candidacy for the Ph.D. with a research proposal approved by his or her doctoral committee.  The award will be presented at the SOLE 2011 Symposium in late summer 2011.
Applications and supporting documentation must be received by 25 March 2011.
