Faculty Position in Aviation Logistics
Department of Marketing and Logistics

University of North Texas

The Department of Marketing and Logistics at the University of North Texas invites applicants for a one-year, visiting assistant/associate professor position in Aviation Logistics for the Fall 2010 semester.

The candidate must have a master's degree in logistics/supply chain management, aviation
or aeronautics, or related engineering disciplines and aviation experience. Preference will
be given to candidates with experience in the following areas: terminal degree in the relevant discipline; experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in aviation
or logistics/supply chain management; experience as a commercial or military pilot; conducting research and publishing in refereed academic journals; developing academic courses; and establishing working relationships with professionals in the aviation and logistics/supply chain disciplines. Candidates will maintain a teaching course load of at least
2-3, advise students on aviation logistics careers, develop curriculum, and assist in developing on-line materials for blended learning. Actual course loads are assigned based on departmental needs. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and degree held.
