The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management at TCU invites nominations and applications for the West Chair in Supply and Value Chain Management. The ideal candidate will be a senior associate professor or full professor with an international reputation as a distinguished scholar in supply chain management.
TCU has established an extremely competitive program in integrated supply and value chain management. The 12-member department offers an undergraduate major in supply and value chain management and an MBA concentration in the area. In addition to teaching and research, the faculty are actively involved in supply chain professional organizations such as CSCMP, ISM, POMS, and DSI. We are looking for a high-energy senior faculty member to be part of a team of colleagues working together to build a nationally recognized supply chain program.
This position entails teaching at both the undergraduate and MBA levels, conducting state-of-the-art research, publishing in top-level academic journals, directing our Supply and Value Chain Center, and playing a leadership role in the Department. The ideal candidate will be someone that enjoys mentoring junior faculty and wants to play an active role in enhancing the reputation of the TCU program.
The Supply and Value Chain Center (SVCC) in the Neeley School works closely with the business community to help them meet their supply chain challenges. To enable students, faculty, and business leaders exchange ideas and best practices, the SVCC hosts an annual Global Supply Chain Conference and other executive forums on critical supply chain issues. The SVCC also offers an MBA certificate in supply and value chain management and provides executive education for companies. In addition, the SVCC provides support for faculty research. Industry experience and a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver executive education and work closely with business leaders are preferred. Executive MBA courses are offered in supply chain management and operations management and demonstrated success teaching one or more of these EMBA courses is desirable. Administrative experience is also desirable.
The location of the Neeley School in the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex is a tremendous advantage for our programs. The Metroplex is home to 17 Fortune and 17 Forbes 500 companies. The Supply and Value Chain Center (SVCC) maintains strong relationships with the business community to ensure our programs are relevant and our students are competitive.
TCU is located in Fort Worth, Texas, about 30 miles from Dallas. Fort Worth is one of the fastest growing US cities and has been named one of the top 40 best places to live in the US. The current population of Fort Worth is approximately 760,000.
