POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
 
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at The University of Memphis seeks to fill a tenure-track Supply Chain Management faculty position at the Assistant level, effective August 2008.  Qualifications include an earned doctorate in supply chain management, logistics or a related discipline from an AACSB accredited college of business (advanced ABD applicants will be considered, if degree completion is imminent), evidence of a commitment to teaching excellence, and the potential to develop a productive research program in a supply chain management-related area.  Primary teaching responsibilities for this position include Supply Chain Management and Global Logistics Management courses.  The ability to teach operations management is also desirable.  The availability of this position is contingent upon final budget approval by the University.
 
The Fogelman College of Business and Economics is AACSB accredited and serves approximately 2,600 undergraduate and 500 graduate students.  The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management has 16 full-time faculty members who teach in the BBA, MBA, MS, and Ph.D. programs.  Screening of applicants will begin October 15, 2007 and may continue until the position is filled.
