Subject: TOC in Consumer Goods Supply Chains, March 10, New Orleans

Tulane Consortium for Supply Chain Management presents its first
workshop in its post-Katrina life and seeks your support and
participation. Please join us on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 9 AM to
5 PM and stay overnight and spend your Sunday getting a glance of life
in New Orleans after Katrina and the 'Tuesday the thirteenth' tornado we
just had.

March 10 workshop is titled "Theory of Constraints Solution for Consumer
Goods Supply Chains," and presented by Dr. Lisa Ferguson.

The workshop focuses on the Theory of Constraints (TOC) solution for
Supply Chains. The core premise of TOC in this regard is that a supply
chain's performance is limited by a "constraint" that most blocks
throughput, the rate at which the organization generates "goal units."
TOC was first introduced in the best-selling book, The Goal, a gripping
business novel by Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, which has transformed the
thinking, actions and results of managers throughout the world. This
workshop presents the TOC strategy and tactics along with the TOC
solutions of operations and distribution to significantly increase the
net profit and sales of consumer goods supply chains.

Dr. Lisa A. Ferguson is a faculty member of Goldratt Schools and a
consultant. She received a Ph.D. in Operations Management from Arizona
State University. She holds an MBA in Finance and Operations Management
from Tulane University. Dr. Ferguson has conducted research in the
areas of the Theory of Constraints (TOC), supply chain management,
quality, and satisfaction. After teaching undergraduates, MBAs, and
Ph.D. students for ten years, Dr. Ferguson has focused on training
consultants attending Goldratt Schools programs to lead TOC Supply Chain
Logistics implementations. She also conducts training and upgrades for
TOC Experts. Dr. Ferguson is the chairperson of the Supply Chain
Logistics committee in the Theory of Constraints International
Certification Organization (TOCICO). She is TOCICO certified in Supply
Chain Logistics (Operations and Distribution), Critical Chain Project
Management and the Thinking Processes.

The registration fee is $795 for executives, $395 for academics. For
reserving a space and more information, please contact Yasemin Aksoy at
Yaksoy at tulane.edu or 504 251 4985.
