Position Description
The opening is for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Transportation and
Logistics beginning in August 2007.
Required: The successful candidate for this position will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A.
with a major or minor emphasis in Logistics or a related discipline in hand by
8/1/07. Evidence supporting high quality teaching and the ability to produce
quality research must be provided. The selected candidate must have university
level teaching experience and be prepared to teach Transportation, including
lecture sections of Foundations of Transportation, Quantitative Applications in
Logistics Systems, and Logistics courses.
Desired: Business experience and a well-developed international perspective are
desirable. Preferred candidates should have a demonstrated interest in
developing a nationally ranked program in logistics, and in furthering the
development of the field through research and publication. Preferred candidates
will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB accredited school.
