LHS Student Learning Social Thursday **5-8PM** @ 36-155 and Student Mailing List Announcement

Hi folks,

Two quick announcements:

1) We will have our weekly lesson and dance for MIT students on Thursday,
4/9 from 5pm-8pm at 36-155. The lesson will be from 5-6pm, followed by
social dance. Anna and Daniel will review what we've learned so far,
introduce some new moves and discuss incorporating solo jazz in partnered
dances!
Drop by to dance, practice new and old moves, or just chat! Also note that
we'll be in the room next to the usual one, for a simple reason - windows!

2) We will be moving these weekly emails to a MIT students-only mailing
list. As elaborated on in a previous email, we are regrettably unable to
host non MIT-students at our events until October 2023. That includes MIT
staff, students not at MIT, and everyone else. Therefore, we thought it
would be better to move our regular emails to a students' mailing list.
We'll automatically add students who've been to our recent events. If
you're an MIT student who'd like to be on the list, let us know with this

We'll continue to use this mailing list for special announcements. We are
looking forward - so much - to welcoming you all at our dances again.
In the meantime, we are glad that Lindy Hop organizations here are
re-opening, like Boston Lindy Hop <https://bostonlindyhop.com/> classes, Boston
Swing Central <http://www.bostonswingcentral.org/> socials (there's a DJ'd
night this Saturday, $11 general and $8 for students!). Furthermore, get
excited for Beantown <https://www.beantowncamp.com/> happening 6/23-30 this
year!
