We're starting the dance early this week, 8pm! Great if you
have an early bedtime or long travel to get home. We'll do
an early dance every once in a while.
Watch http://emergency.mit.net/ for the latest info
regarding potential MIT closure due to snow. If MIT is
open, the dance will happen; if MIT closes, the dance will
be cancelled.
* MIT Lindy Hop Society Wednesday Swing Dance
* Wednesday, March 21, Lesson 7:30 Dancing 8-11:30 p.m.

http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=50
* Free, Beginners welcome, No partner necessary
* DJ Jodi Daynard
At 7:30 before the dance, Luna will teach a 30-minute lesson
on the Shim Sham, a popular solo jazz routine done to songs
like "Tuxedo Junction" and "'Tain't What You Do (It's The
Way That You Do It)".
Jodi will DJ from 8-11, and then we'll open it up to the
floor for anyone to DJ from 11-11:30. Bring some music you
want to dance to if you want to dance to the end of the
evening.
Next week 3/28 we will resume normal scheduling, with Samra
teaching a 7:30 lesson followed by social dancing at 9.
If anyone is available to help me set up the dance, meet me
at W20-437 (our storage room) at 6:45 pm.
Locations and DJs for the next few weeks:
3/21 Walker, DJ Jodi Daynard
3/28 Sala, DJ Ted Simpson
4/4 Sala
Would anyone like to teach a lesson? Share you love of
dance!
Help wanted! If you are an MIT student and available to
occasionally help out with the club, let me know. (We would
like to avoid the club having a single point of failure,
namely me.) No commitment required!
