* MIT Lindy Hop Society Wednesday Swing Dance
* Wednesday, May 17, Lesson 7:30 Dancing 9-11:30 p.m.
* Lobdell Dining Room (Student Center 2nd floor)
* Free, Beginners welcome, No partner necessary
* DJs Tim Manning and Tina Desorcy
At 7:30 before the dance, Ken will teach a swing lesson.
With the school year wrapping up, we'll borrow a tradition
from a very famous professor: the theme of the lesson will
be, "all questions answered". If you have dance-related, or
even non-dance-related question, ask it, and I'll try to
cover it during the lesson. You can submit questions to me
by email beforehand (reply to this message), or you can ask
them during the lesson.
Would anyone like to teach lessons in the future?
Share your love of dance!
If anyone is available to help me set up the dance, meet me
at W20-437 (our storage room) at 6:45 pm.
Locations and DJs for the next few weeks:
5/17 Lobdell, Tim Manning and Tina Desorcy
5/24 Walker, Ted Simpson
5/31 Walker, Ted Simpson and Dustin Spicuzza

P.S.:
Help wanted! If you are an MIT student and available to
occasionally help out with the club, let me know. (We would
like to avoid the club having a single point of failure,
namely me.) No commitment required!
Grace Yu writes: I've recently become involved with a
nonprofit geared towards STEM education and outreach called
Gique (pronounced like "geek"). Gique is hosting a program
with the Boston Public Libraries this summer to teach kids
STEM concepts through creative movements and dance
choreography. No experience is necessary. All you need is a
passion for Art + STEM (STEAM) and a love for dance. For
more information, see the recent Gique newsletter:
