* MIT Lindy Hop Society Wednesday Swing Dance
* Wednesday, June 18, Dancing 8:30-11:30 p.m.
* La Sala de Puerto Rico, MIT Student Center 2nd floor
* Free, Beginners welcome, No partner necessary
* DJs Stephen York and Don Coverdale
At 7:30 before the dance, Vinay and Linda will teach a
beginner swing lesson. People who show up by ~7:45 will be
able to help decide what the class will cover.
The room we are in this week and next, La Sala de Puerto
Rico, has two special features:
We will have the Grand Piano out, if anyone wants to play a
song. I will ask at the 10:15pm intermission.
(NEW) Informal poster/art session! The back of the room has
some dividers upon which one can pin things. If you've
created, for example, a scientific poster or 2D art that
you'd like to display for the evening, bring it and some
pushpins! This is an opportunity to share with your dancer
friends what you do in "real life" when not dancing.
MIT students: If like swing dancing and would like to help
out with the club, we are generally looking for all kinds of
help, large or small. Let me know if you are interested.
