P.S.: Saturday, November 8, Harvard All-afternoon Swing
Dancing workshop/extravaganza-rama-fest-athon, taught by
Andrew K. Stein:
The price to you? $0. (Really.)
More rhetorical questions? Absolutely...
Who?
Andrew K. Stein (that's me) will be teaching. I'm a stand-up comic
who's been teaching swing dancing since 2002, and my
should-be-patented method is sure to get you up and dancing with
confidence quicker than you can say "Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a funny
name for a band when you stop and think about it a little bit, I'm
just saying is all."
What?
We'll have five 50-minute sessions, with 10-minute breaks to get
water and rest our feet.
1pm - Beginner Basics (necessary for the rest of the day)
2pm - Spins, spins, spins
3pm - Putting the moves together
4pm - Improvisation
5pm - Wild & Crazy Swing Dancing
6pm - Adjourn
No experience necessary. Really. You can be totally new to swing.
Also, no partner required.
When?
Saturday, November 8th, 2008, 1PM - 6PM
Where?
Harvard Campus, Dudley House Common Room
Cambridge, MA
Dudley House is the center of this map: <http://bit.ly/swing>
The Common Room is on the second floor.
(Note that this is a carpeted room, so wear smooth-soled
shoes.)
Both Harvard and non-Harvard folks are welcome.
Anything else?
Drop-ins are welcome, but RSVP's are recommended (email
andrew.k.stein at gmail.com).
If we're over capacity, preference will be given to
Harvard-affiliated folks and those who RSVP'd.
