* Wednesday, October 1, Lesson 7:30 Dancing 9-11:30 p.m.
* Lobdell Cafeteria (MIT Student Center 2nd floor)
* Free, Beginners welcome, No partner necessary

At 7:30 before the dance, Jenn and Gui will teach the first
class of their four-week Blues Dance series. They write:

Jenn and I have spent the past two months training, getting
ready to come back to teach at MIT in style. We have a
curriculum, we have a live house band, and we're ready to
rock. Our experimental classes at the Dance Complex have wound
down for now, and we're concentrating entirely on teaching
really high-quality beginner Blues classes at MIT for the entire
      month of October.

Blues dancing is a free form, improvisational partnered dance
style whose fundamental principles can be used to dance to just
about anything with a beat. Due to its inherently
improvisational nature, the connection between dancers is of
utmost importance; this connection, once learned, can be applied
to almost any other type of dance.

Invite everyone you've ever wanted to dance with. Once they
learn Blues, everything else is easy.

ALSO, coming Saturday, October 18 --
The Inaugural BLUES DANCE hosted by the MIT Lindy Hop
Society! MIT Student Center room 491, (Start time
TBA)-midnight. Would anyone like to teach a lesson before
the dance?
