After making a special trip to the bank to get a roll of quarters, I just lost $2.50 of quarters in the two washing machines, and was unable to wash my clothes.  I will be going to the laundromat from now on, until the card system is in place.  I encourage others in the building to do the same – that way, the laundry company will not be drawing any income from the machines until the card system is set up.

Thanks to Marty and David for pursuing this and for informing us about the progress – or, lack thereof!

I was thinking that I might go to the laundromat this weekend, as it has been difficult for me to scare up enough quarters to do my laundry.  It occurred to me that if we all went to the laundromat, the company might act more quickly, as they wouldn’t be getting any income from the machines until they did.

Just a thought.

We are displeased that the company didn't act as it promised to do and install the card readers almost immediately after the machines were brought in.  Further, the trustees are disappointed that it has taken all week for your reply to David Santucci's query, now with another weekend of delay before we even might be given a clear response. Can you and Cindi please explain to the company that we need this to be taken care of fast? 

Also, one of the trustees should probably call the company directly. If you or Cindi could send us the contact information, I and/or David would attempt to call them. The more of us who get on them to act, the better! Or at the very least, they ought to tell us what is the reason for the delay.

But there is also a complication: you will recall that we discussed the need to arrange to reposition the machines all against the same wall, and that this will require new gas and exhaust pipes to be run from one side of the room to the other. 

Will this affect where the card-money machine will be installed? Given the delay already, I'd hate to see a machine put in, and then have to have it moved around!
