Well, he's still in the boiler room if you want to speak to him directly, but he said that the motor he has is sufficient and he just needs to get another one since the unit runs on two. So, we are good.

Hot water is off now to warm up the building, but it will be back on and ready for morning showers. 

All in all, we got off easy thanks to Dan Wilson's dedication.
