IN MEMORIAM: STEPHEN WILSON
The board and staff at Leonardo/ISAST are deeply saddened to announce
the death of Stephen Wilson, artist, author, professor and longtime
Leonardo/ISAST board member. Stephen Harth Wilson died in San
Francisco on 10 January 2011 at age 66, of cancer. Find out more

AT THE COLLEGE ART ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE
Members of the Leonardo Education and Art Forum (LEAF) will
participate in the 99th annual College Art Association conference in
New York City, 9-12 February 9 2011. Panel sessions include "Into
Focus: Art/Science in the University Classroom," "New Media, Art-
Science, and Mainstream Contemporary Art: Toward a Hybrid
Discourse?," "Designing a New Joint Studio, Art History and Theory

LEONARDO/ISAST CO-SPONSORS NEW SPEAKING SERIES
WITH NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences is partnering
with Leonardo/ISAST to create D.C. Art Science Evening Rendezvous
(DASER), a monthly discussion forum for presenting art and science
projects in the national capital region. The monthly series kicks off
on Wednesday, 16 February 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Keck Center, National
Academy of Sciences, with presentations by Lee Boot, Carol Christian,
Gunalan Nadarajan and Thomas Skalak. Find out more

NEW ISSUE OF LEONARDO REVIEWS QUARTERLY
NOW AVAILABLE
Leonardo Reviews is the work of an international panel of scholars
and professionals invited from a wide range of disciplines to review
books, exhibitions, CD-ROMs, web sites and conferences. Leonardo
Reviews publishes all reviews received from the panel monthly on the
Leonardo Reviews web site. In addition, four times a year a selection
of reviews is printed in Leonardo print journal and now in the
Leonardo Reviews Quarterly (L|R|Q) which publishes an even larger
selection as a printable PDF together with introductory material and
overview essays. The second issue of L|R|Q is now available with 26

administrator to serve as the founding director of the Institute for
