These are fast paced talks from people with clear vision of innovations they intend to spearhead and grow on the continent.

Last year, one of the vision speakers was David Sengeh who pitched his idea of designing a competition to help youth in his home country create their own solutions. The result of his efforts was the discovery of Kelvin Doe famously known as DJ Focus. 15-Year-Old Kelvin Doe is an engineering whiz living in Sierra Leone who scoured the trash bins for spare parts, which he used to build batteries, generators and transmitters. Completely self-taught, Kelvin has created his own radio station where he broadcasts news and plays music under the moniker, DJ Focus.

Kelvin became the youngest person in history to be invited to the "Visiting Practitioner's Program" (http://mit.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=03a577cc4e0f6b7e9f0cf83ed&id=8d86e5af26&e=4b9b0bfe9f) at MIT.

Another Past Speaker is  Magatte Wade. She was born in Senegal, educated in Germany and France, and launched her entrepreneurial career in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she co-founded Adina World Beverages after working closely with Silicon Valley start-ups. She is a TED Global Africa Fellow and is starting a new company, Tiossano, a contemporary lifestyle products brand.
