featuring speaker Recep Senturk
 Recep Senturk is a research fellow at the Islamic Research Center in
Istanbul. He studies two different strands of classical Islamic legal
thought to approach the question of universal human rights. Senturk intends
to show that classical Islam contains a solid philosophical grounding for
the modern concept of universal human rights. He holds a PhD from Columbia
University.
