Dear SH,

This is an open moderated emailing list not restricted to LCM members. It also does not reflect the opinions of the LCM. So far,
almost all posts to this list have been inline with its general purpose and quality standards. Kindly address your requests/comments
on the LCM to its Executive Committee (lebanon-exec at mit.edu).
 
The LCM is out of "your local Lebanese politics", but the Lebanese here are not. And then again, those politics are not "yours" nor
"local" - they're for the Lebanese, who may disagree as you say, there and here.

Thank you all for your political opinions, would you please keep LCM out of 
our local Lebanese politics, because at least 50% of Lebanese don't agree 
with the other side what ever the other side is...

I hope the day comes when the maid can go down and protest by herself, 
without
the need to be accompanied.

Apparently, the army and security personnel do not let the maids go down and
protest. They make them go back home once they spot them unaccompanied, talk
about freedom. That's sad.
