The company I work for - Adea Solutions - is looking to hire a senior J2EE
architect for a short period of 1-3 months. The candidate should have specific
SonicMQ and WebLogic experience and will be working with a client in Austin
(will have to relocate for the period of the assignment). The pay is around
600$/day and part of the travel/lodging expenses will be covered.

Position:
Senior J2EE Architect with SonicMQ/JMS/WebLogic Experience

Overview:
We are looking for a senior J2EE architect with extensive experience in
designing, implementing and deploying Java J2EE applications and a strong
background with enterprise messaging middleware. The candidate will be involved
in analyzing and improving a SonicMQ deployment in a Solaris environment with
clients ranging from JMS java clients to WebLogic hosted message driven beans.
The ideal candidate will have extensive SonicMQ administration and deployment
experience, have previously worked with the BEA WebLogic App Server and is
delved into all aspects of J2EE technologies. The role requires a thorough
understanding and experience in J2EE application architecture, messaging
architectures, JMS, SOAP, web services, XML (XPath, XSLT, etc.). Specific
experience with complex SonicMQ deployments and cluster design is a must.
Experience with other enterprise messaging systems such as MQSeries is a plus.

The candidate will need to be motivated with excellent communication,
organizational, and client facing skills.  The candidate must also have the
ability to effectively coordinate with offsite team members.
 

Required Skills:
SonicMQ deployment and administration, Java/J2EE development, JMS, JNDI, EJB,
Java web services, Java & J2EE Performance Tuning, J2EE Design Patterns, J2EE
development, J2EE/WebLogic, JSP, servlets, XML, XSL, XSLT, Web services, WSDL,
SOAP, Unix/Solaris environment.

Preferred Background:
• 10+ years experience in Object Oriented Development.
• 5+ years experience in successfully designing and implementing commercial
grade, enterprise level Java J2EE applications deployed in distributed
environments.
• 5+ years experience in J2EE middle tier design and development including
JMS/MQ, EJB and commercial application servers such as WebLogic.
• Hands-on experience with deploying and administering enterprise messaging
systems; specific experience with SonicMQ is required.
• Knowledge and understanding of best practices when it comes to messaging
middleware architecture with focus on continuous availability and system
response in real-time/high load environments.
• Must have experience with creating/deploying SonicMQ configuration domains,
containers, brokers, clusters, Queues and Topics.
• SonicMQ performance tuning experience is a big plus.
• 3+ years experience working with Web Services, XML, and related protocols.
• Knowledge and ability to design, implement and test Java software components.
• Must have experience with software development of large-scale systems and a
high degree of familiarity with the software development process.
