I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion.  If localization didn't
matter for MIT, we would not have implemented
http://k5wiki.kerberos.org/wiki/Projects/Localization back in 1.10.

Our built-in error messages already go through a localization step.
What do you suggest beyond this?  We cannot, of course, automatically
localize user-defined text within a custom err_fmt.
