make check will not run - some of the tests will no longer link:
I suspect you did not configure the tree w/ --disable-rpath and are 
picking up an installed library which is working...

crypto_tests/t_cksum.c: krb5int_keyhash_md5des undefined
crypto_tests/t_crc.c: mit_crc32 undefined
crypto_tests/t_cts.c: krb5int_aes_encrypt undefined
crypto_tests/t_mddriver.c: krb5int_MD5_* undefined
crypto_tests/aes-test.c: `krb5int_aes_encrypt
