I'm quite sure that I'm not in favor of if-ladder because of dislike of goto. It seemed a bit easierr to write for code without many loops than goto cleanup, and given a day or so, seemed equally easy to read. I do not yet have enough familiarity to explain why I thought it was easier to write in some cases. --Sam
