GSS-API(or Kerberos) error while initializing kadmin interface

HI,

    I am trying to add des3-hmac1-sha1:norealm to the list of supported 
enctypes in the kdc.conf file. After I added this I created a new 
kadm5.keytab for kadmin/admin & kadmin/changepw.

Now when I try to use kadmin : kadmin -p ss488/admin , I get the following 
error :GSS-API(or Kerberos) error while initializing kadmin interface
However kamin.local works fine.

I also tried to re-key ss488/admin and reexecute the kadmin command but I 
still get the same error. The kadmind.log does not show any entry. Did 
anyone encounter a similar problem.
