ldap db support

Oh, this issue again.  The versions I've got on Red Hat and NetBSD  
turn out to be no more recent than the Debian version I was seeing  
hanging problems with, though now I'm seeing malloc/free errors and  
sometimes crashes, not hangs.

Do you know what version I need to update to to get this fixed?
