hmmm... seems to work now...  thanks a bunch

you may want to check the various links for kerberos extras on the 
mit sites because I had just installed it for like the third time 
yesterday from a fresh download off the mit site and i know that 
there are links on both mit.edu/software/mac.html  and the support 
pages...

anyway, thanks again

p.s.  I just switched to mac about a month ago and have just recently 
begun discovering x11/athena and things like this... do you have any 
tips, software/tool recommendations, etc.  for a new mac user?
