make check fails

Trying to do a make check in 1.2.8 and I get the following errors

3159073:../kadmin/dbutil/kdb5_util: rld: Fatal Error: attempted access
to unresolvable symbol in ../lib/libkdb5.so.3: dbopen


dbopen in IRIX is defined in libdb.so however libkdb5.so (and also
libkadm5srv.so) both make references to this yet do not have this
library as a required library.

Has this been fixed yet?
