MacOS X framework does not include krb5_kt_free_entry

When linking with "-framework Kerberos" get a link error stating:
 
ld: Undefined symbols: _krb5_kt_free_entry

The matching functions, krb5_kt_start_seq_get , krb5_kt_next_entry and
krb5_kt_end_seq_get all link and work OK.

Should this function be used, or is the "Kerberos V5 application programming
library" guide incorrect (section 4.4)?
