CCacheServer CPU usage on Mac OS X

I have noticed that CCacheServer (used by Kerberos) constantly is 
chugging at around 3% CPU usage, even though no authentication is 
occurring.  Is this normal?

Is there any relation between this and some high CPU usage I have 
noticed from lookupd and "DirectoryS"?
