How to really completely uninstall KfW?

I have installed, removed and had experimental installs die enough times now
that the MSI installer always gets an ERR_PROC_LIST.  The NSIS installer
runs to completion, but uninstalling it does not clear enough messed up
state so that the MSI will finish.  Rebooting does not help.

 

The MSI succeeds on a fresh VM.

 

What do I have to clear out so that KillRunningProcessesSlave in custom.cpp
doesn't get an ERR_PROC_LIST?
