On Kerberos Application

1) In 1994 paper titled Kerberos: An Authentication
Service for Computer Networks, some limitations of the Kerberos were listed
such as password, initial negotiation and so on. That paper suggested to use
PKC as part of the remedy. Now, many years passed. Does the latest version
krb5-1.5 take away those limits? 

 

2) Can I find any materials introducing how to deploy Kerberos?
