rcp and large files (>2gb)

Hi,

I tried googling for information on rcp and I read the Kerberos FAQ and
newsgroups.

I haven't been able to find much info on rcp development.

Can anyone tell me if/when rcp will support large files ?
Or perhaps it already does but I'm having compiling issues or need to
tweak the compile ?

We are using rcp from Kerb 1.3.2  (or 1.2.7 for that matter) on Solaris 
8 and Redhat ES 3.0.

When we try to rcp a file that is too large, we get an error from the 
libc stating "value too large for defined datatype". Based on my 
investigations, rcp would need to use the open64() function in libc on
solaris instead of the vanilla open().

Any help/leads would be helpful.
