Help req.

I have downloaded krb5-1.3.1 for linux, and extracted the files and kept
in "/usr".
How to get a sample ticket from kdc? (while i am running kinit, it is
giving dns error, I don't have dns server in my system)

I have gone through installation doc, but I don't have a domain and realm
name. My system is independent, i.e not in any network.
how to add a username to kdc?

Can anybody clarify my doubts?(or send the krb5.conf file, my system name
is pra)
