We are testing Kerberos on OpenVMS.
We are running VMS 7.3-2 and
Kerberos for OpenVMS v2.0-6, client setup.
Realm and KDC are in windows2003 server.
W2K workstations runs Reflection v.11 and we try to
authenticate to vms server with Telnet.
Reflection Kerberos manager shows that
authentication between Windows2003 and
workstation is okey.
But telnet connection to vms server stops:
"ERROR: krb5_rd_req failed: KRB5_KT_NOTFOUND"
Instructions followed:
http://support.wrq.com/techdocs/1593.html
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/planning/security/kerbsteps.asp
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/kerberos/kerberos_relnotes.html
But there is no ktutil in vms to merge the keytab file from windows.
So we transferred keytab file with ftp to directory: KRB$ROOT:<ETC>KRB5.KEYTAB
Keytab file include principals to vms host and telnet service.
Any tips are appreciated.
