kerberos on ia64 : krb5kdc stops working

Hello,

i have a problem running kerberos on ia64 with red hat adavanced server 
2.1 (kernel 2.4.18).

Compiling was no problem and went fine.

The system itsself works fine, the server gets its new database using 
rsync the dump and kdb5_util load every 5 minutes.

When i start krb5kdc, it works a while (between 1 and 5 hours), and then 
the process "krb5kdc" gets lost.

I have no idea, why the process stops working, i could not find any hint 
in logfiles or anything else.

Is this prolem known to anyone or can anyone give me some further hints 
where to look up for theses problems?
