KRB 1.3 on AIX

I have built MIT Kerberos on AIX a dozen times at least, and have
had very few problems especially with recent releases.

Now I build 1.3, and kinit won't work.  It says:

    kinit(v5): Incorrect net address while getting initial credentials

Anybody have a suggestion on what to look for here?
