Help setting up Kerbose on Windows XP

I am trying to set up a Kerberos Server on laptop which is running 
windows xp home edition.

I downloaded  and installed M.I.T's Kerberos For Windows version 2.1.1.  

I am having trouble setting up a KDC on the laptop.  Leash (mit utility) 
and my Java program can not find the KDC.

Part of the problem is that I am very new to Kerberos and have not found 
a explanation on how to set it up on a PC. 

I wanted to use Kerberos to authenticate users via a Java program.
