Cannot change password (error 31)

I am facing an huge problem.
I set up an AD domain which trusts accounts from a Kerberos Realm using 
MIT KDC. Authentication works great, AFs authentication too.
But trying to change password from a windows machine, i get the 
following error :

31: a device attached to this computer is not fonctioning

Does anyone has ever had such problem. could someone help me?
