automatic TGT retrieval

I'm trying to figure out how to automatically obtain TGT's when logging into systems.  I was able to achieve it on IRIX by replacing /bin/login with the kerberos version.  However, I can't get it to work on solaris, hp-ux or linux.  Any ideas?
