Sun Solaris Senior Security Engineer

The Kerberos development group are responsible for the ongoing development
of Kerberos technology in the Solaris Operating Environment. Activities 
include design, development, test, and documentation of new features and 
bug fixes in the Solaris Kerberos product. We are also required to work 
with other groups on related security technology, such as Smartcard, PK, LDAP.
  
Specification

The successful candidate will:

* Make a significant contribution to the design and development of networking
	security components of the Solaris Operating System
* Have strong design and development skills with 8+ years relevant industry
	experience
* Have an indepth understanding of Unix development (pref Solaris) in C/C++
	to system level
* Have an indepth knowledge of networking and security from a developer's
	perspective including technologies such as kerberos, smartcards etc.
* Have experience working as part of a distributed team, and working closely
	with other groups
* Be an effective communicator, capable of dealing with people at all levels
* Be a team player, motivated and capable of mentoring junior engineers

Role

The following are the main aspects of the role that the successful candidate 
will be required to undertake.

* Design and develop networking security components of the Solaris OS
* Direct the technical efforts of other team members
* Assume all responsibilities associated with project delivery
* Work within a distributed team.
* Provide management with schedule and status information
* Ensure that projects meet the highest quality standards
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
* Take on multiple complex tasks and complete with minimum of supervision
