[Image-tools] Reminder: Next meeting of the Image Tools SIG - Thursday, March 15

Mark your calendar.  The next meeting of the MIT Image Tools SIG will  
be on Thursday, March 15, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.  The meeting will be  
held in the N42 Demo Center.

The meeting topic will be metadata.  We'll open with a presentation  
by Ann Whiteside, the Head of the Rotch Library.  Ann was an editor,  
on behalf of the Visual Resources Association, of the recently  
completed book, Cataloging Cultural Objects: A Guide to Describing  
Cultural Works and Their Images.  The primary focus of the manual is  
"describing, documenting, and cataloging ... art and architecture,  
including, but not limited to paintings, sculpture, prints,  
manuscripts, photographs, built works, installations, and other

This meeting is open to anyone interested in the subject, so feel
