I'm also interested in collaboration and contributing code back to the  
project, but I don't know how to do it efficiently either.  I spent  
several hours getting just the front page (0.9) to work locally, and  
then I was faced with having to change code within each module to get  
each individual section to work.  I took a similar tac and moved local  
variables (MySQL passwords, include paths, etc) to a configuration  
file.   I'm eager to look at Dave's changes (when I get the time to  
work on mobile again).

Additionally I'd very much like a sensible way that additional code  
can be contributed back to the project.  Knowing that MIT is working  
on version 2.0 while I was modifying 0.9 reminded me that I might have  
to redo any local modifications I make in the event of a update.  And  
since my dev server doesn't like php short tags, re-applying local  
changes is a fairly significant endeavor!

I just wanted to reach out and offer what I can in terms of code  
contribution going forward.
