From kurgan at MIT.EDU Mon Jul 5 18:34:30 2004 From: kurgan at MIT.EDU (Andrew Twyman) Date: Mon, 05 Jul 2004 18:34:30 -0400 Subject: [Hyperion] Lost-Episodes Showings Upcoming: The Tick, Farscape Message-ID: <200407052234.i65MYVem014064@vice-grips.mit.edu> [Apologies for any duplicates. This is the only email I'll send on this topic to such a wide distribution list (at least for this year). If you're interested in further information, you should add yourself to lost-episodes at mit.edu: "blanche lost-episodes -a $USER". The non-Athena-enabled should email me and ask to be added. People who don't want to hear more should be sure they're not on lost-episodes, or ask me to remove them.] The summer is here, and it's re-run season. I still have a backlog of Tru Calling on my ReplayTV, but after that I'm going to be looking for other interesting things on which to waste my time. Fortunately, there are plenty of good shows showing up on DVD these days. I recently splurged and picked up Farscape Season 1, along with the entirety of the live-action version of The Tick. I'm going to start watching them soon, and may as well share the experience with others who might be interested. I'd also like to see other people with interesting collections of tapes or DVDs do their own showings, coordinated via lost-episodes. Schedule and location of Tick and Farscape showings are open to negotiation based on the level of interest. If it's a small group I may just host at my home, or for larger groups we'll take over a room somewhere on campus. I might do short showings (a few episodes at a time) on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, or I might do larger marathons less often. If you're interested at all, you should add yourself to lost-episodes to recieve more information. If you're particularly psyched and/or have opinions on scheduling drop me an email so I can gauge interest and availability. Andrew
