I can take my webcam when I can make it, and figure out a hangouts solution. Though I'll be a new father (due date was today), and I don't know how consistent my attendance will be.

Are there any prospects for skype/google hangouts/some similar means of remote participation?

I have chosen Mondays 3-4 as the meeting time for the HoTT reading group. Welcome, to those of you can make it, and apologies to those of you who can't. Our first meeting is tentatively scheduled on Monday, January 6, 3-4, in a room yet to be determined. Please bring a copy of the HoTT book (either physical or digital) with you to the first meeting, and please read the introduction between now and then.

I plan to aim at reading one chapter a week until we finish the book, slowing down if necessary. My current plan is to have us all read each chapter on our own time, and use the meeting time to discuss, ask and answer questions, and work on the exercises. I'm open to suggestions for alternative structures, if we find that this one is not to our liking.

I look forward to meeting and learning with you all,
Jason
