Subject: Faculty Job Opening- Community Advocacy and Research Engagement Course

Greetings!

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Tiffany Zheng and I am the Assistant Director overseeing the Community Advocacy and Research Engagement course at Boston College through the Thea Bowman AHANA and Intercultural Center.

We are starting the recruitment process for a part-time faculty teaching position for the 2021-2022 academic year and would like to pass along this amazing opportunity.

CARE is a two-semester, seven credit program that offers leadership, research, and public policy training for students interested in working with Latino, Asian American, Native American, and/or African and African Diaspora communities in Massachusetts. In the Fall, students will participate in a seminar to study the process of community-based research and its methodologies, and begin to design a research proposal for an independent study. In the Spring, students will work directly with a faculty advisor on their individual research project.

If you or anyone you know may be interested in applying for this position, please read the attached job description. Feel free to also visit our website <https://www.bc.edu/bc-web/offices/student-affairs/sites/ahana/programs-services/build-community.html#community_advocacy_and_research_engagement_program> for more information about the course. I have also attached this year's research projects to help showcase what students presented at the end of the school year. Please contact me with any questions, we are trying to fill this position as soon as possible.

Best,

--
